Project overview

A shared European learning process

Many young people need safe and welcoming ways to connect, express themselves, and take part in community life. Music can open that door without requiring previous experience or formal skills.

RISE connects three organisations with complementary experience in youth work, non-formal learning, rehabilitation, volunteering, and creative practice. From 1 February 2026 to 31 July 2027, the partners will exchange methods, train youth workers, involve young people in creative try-outs, and share the results with a wider professional community.

The work is practical and participatory. Methods are developed collaboratively, used in real youth-work settings, discussed with participants, and improved through feedback. This helps the final resources remain accessible, adaptable, and rooted in everyday practice.

Erasmus+ KA210-YOU

Small-scale cooperation with practical impact

KA210-YOU partnerships make European cooperation accessible to smaller organisations and new participants. They support the exchange of experience, the development of working methods, and activities that respond directly to the needs of young people.

For RISE, that means a focused partnership in which each organisation contributes its own expertise while learning from the approaches used in the other countries.

Approach

Creativity as a youth-work method

Music-based activities can support communication, emotional expression, cooperation, and a sense of achievement. RISE places those activities within non-formal learning: participants learn through experience, reflection, shared decision-making, and creating together.

Youth workers are supported to adapt the activities to different abilities, comfort levels, and group situations. The aim is not musical performance. The aim is a safe process in which every participant can contribute.

Who it is for

Young people facing barriers - and those beside them

RISE focuses on young people who may experience social exclusion, mental-health challenges, economic difficulties, or limited access to supportive activities. It also serves youth workers, facilitators, educators, and other professionals looking for inclusive ways to build participation and wellbeing.

By working with both groups, the project connects lived experience with professional practice. Young people's responses help shape the methods, and youth workers gain tools they can continue to use and adapt.
